Completing the NIH Biosketch: SciENcv Common Form & Supplement Online
Beginning January 25, 2026, NIH is replacing the current biosketch with a two-part format: a Common Form Biographical Sketch and a NIH Biographical Sketch Supplement. Both must be created and certified in SciENcv, and all individuals must have an ORCID iD linked to their eRA Commons account. SciENcv will generate a single, certified PDF for submission.
In this hands-on workshop, we will guide you through the process of completing the NIH Biosketch using SciENcv. Participants will have the opportunity to work on their biosketch during the session and ask questions.
We will cover:
- What’s changing with the NIH Biosketch
- Creating and certifying the Common Form and Supplement in SciENcv
- Linking ORCID and eRA Commons accounts
- Managing publications and research products in SciENcv
- Tips for navigating known SciENcv issues and avoiding common pitfalls
- Troubleshooting technical challenges
