Staring at a blank page? This workshop will teach you how to use generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT) to get started with your writing, ethically and effectively! 

This workshop is designed for students in any program. The learning outcomes include: 

  • Writing effective prompts for GenAI tools 

  • Finding trustworthy background information with GenAI 

  • Using GenAI in the early stages of the writing process to create outlines, break down complex tasks, and more 

  • Avoiding plagiarism and citing GenAI appropriately 

  • Using GenAI in accordance with journal policies
