Designing Scientific Posters that Work Online

This first part of a two-part series on scientific posters focuses on the foundational principles of effective scientific poster design. Participants will learn how to structure a poster to clearly communicate their research story, applying evidence-based design and writing strategies that support comprehension rather than overwhelm the reader. Topics include rhetorical context (audience, purpose, and situation), poster structure, visual hierarchy, accessibility considerations, and concise poster text.
