Truth or Fiction? Verifying AI-Generated Answers Online

Artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT can produce convincing answers, but not all of them are based on reliable sources. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to write balanced prompts to reduce bias in AI-generated answers, and how to fact-check those responses using proven information literacy strategies. This session will demonstrate practical skills to use AI responsibly and verify its accuracy.

After the session, learners will be able to:

  • Craft effective prompts for use with generative AI tools
  • Describe the strengths and limitations of generative AI for information research
  • Use information literacy skills and tools to evaluate AI-generated output

This session will be recorded and the recording will be sent out to all registered attendees and waitlist.  If you cannot make the live workshop, you are welcome to register to receive the recording.
